To mark the 100th aniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic James Cameron's 1997 oscar winning film will be back in theaters--this time in 3-D.
Written, directed and produced by Cameron--it is the second highest grossing movie of all time. It is one of only three films to have received a record 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director; and launched the careers of stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.
The sinking sequence is realized to perfection in the film---which also boasts a great score by composer James Horner and great cinematography by Russell Carpenter.
Not thrilled by the notion of the 3-D aspect but early reports say that the format conversion (which Cameron supervised) is well worth it. The world can judge for itself on April 6th 2012
