Leo DiCaprio = Six Million Dollar Man?

The long thought about big screen version of the 70's TV series The Six Million Dollar Man is being whispered about again....

Latino Review is reporting that The Weinstein Company is working hard to close a deal with Universal Pictures to jointly make the movie with Bryan Singer interested in calling the shots

Singer and Weinstein seemingly want Leonardo DiCaprio to play the title role of Steve Austin (played by Lee Majors, on TV), but Leo is waiting to read a script before signing on.

The premise is explained best by the memorable open to each episode:

LR claims Christopher McQuarrie, Mark Bomback, and Darren Lemke screenwriters of Singer's next release, Jack the Giant Killer, are to pen the screenplay.

The project is still in the early stages and may still stall since Singer also has a feature film version of another '70s TV classic, Battlestar Galactica on his plate
