Who Is Up For Tetsuo In The Akira Remake?

D.J. Cotrona, Logan Marshall-Green, Toby Kebbell, Richard Madden Rami Malek, and Michael Pitt are the latest potentials for the role of Tetsuo in the Akira remake says THR

Paul Dano and Alden Ehrenreich will be retesting for the role. Ezra Miller was thought to be  in the mix but that has been shot down by the actor himself--a shame because he would have been perfect....

A decision is expected before Thanksgiving. But of those mentioned both Dano or Pitt would work best in terms of acting skill and look

The new film shifts the action from Neo-Tokyo to New Manhattan and follows Kaneda's (Garrett Hedlund) attempts to save Tetsuo from a medical experiment that threatens to unleash destructive powers.

Kristen Stewart has been offered the part of Kei, a young medium who becomes the love interest for Kaneda Gary Oldman has been offered the role of Colonel while Helena Bonham-Carter has been offered Lady Miyako. Keira Knightley also has been offered a role in the pic but the part is not known yet
