Radcliffe Will "Kill Your Darlings"

Daniel Radcliffe will play poet Allen Ginsberg in the John Krokidas-directed true story thriller film "Kill Your Darlings". says Twitch

The story will deal with the murder of David Kammerer by Lucien Carr, a Columbia University student who had been pursued sexually by Kammerer and stabbed him to death one night while fending him off.

Carr, whose friends at Columbia included Jack Kerouac, Ginsberg and William S. Burroughs, dumped Kammerer's body in the Hudson River and spent a couple days deciding whether or not to confess to the murder.

When he finally did, a sensational trial followed, and Carr served two years in prison before becoming an editor at United Press International and a family man. The other three were the key members of what became the Beat Generation.

Austin Bunn and  Krokidas penned the script

Chris Evans, Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Whishaw were previously attached to play Kerouac, Ginsberg and Carr respectively two years ago. It's unknown if Evans or Whishaw are still attached but it seems very unlikely now.

Christine Vachon will produce the film
