Kyle Chandler has joined the Allen Hughes drama "Broken City" says Variety.
The film follows an ex-cop turned private detective (Mark Wahlberg) who is hired by the mayor (Russell Crowe) to see if his wife (Catherine Zeta-Jones) is cheating on him. When the mayor's wife's cheating partner ends up dead, the private eye immerses himself in the mayor's business and uncovers a real estate scandal that involves dealing himself choice city-owned properties.
Jeffrey Wright will play the police commissioner who has a complicated history with Crowe's character. Barry Pepper will play a closeted councilman/mayoral contentender to which Chandler plays his campaign manager, while Natalie Martinez and Alona Tal play women in Wahlberg's life in Brian Tucker's Black Listted script. Griffin Dunne, James Ransone, and Justin Chambers have been cast in supporting roles.
Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Randall Emmett, George Furla and Hughes will produce the pic.
