Scott Set To Pilot Narco Sub

In a deal that materialized over the long holiday weekend Tony Scott has signed on to direct Narco Sub says Variety.

David Guggenheim wrote the screenplay on spec, which he developed with producer Simon Kinberg.

Plot deets are scarce but the tone it is said to be reminiscent of Scott's action-dramas like Crimson Tide and Man on Fire.

The title refers to smaller submarines which drug cartels use to smuggle their product into the United States.

The project is being fast tracked and will be Scott's next film which to me is a good thing since it pushes his planned remake of The Wild Bunch even further back...
