Based on British author Martin Amis' book, the story follows an American writer living in London who has had writer's block for twenty years and is now terminally ill. Other characters include a psychic woman, who meets two men in a bar and senses that one of them will murder her on her 35th birthday.
Both Michael Winterbottom and David Cronenberg have been previously attached to call action.
Chris Hanley, Jordan Gertner and Mary Vernieu will produce the adaptation.
