This particular film covers three years of Abraham Lincoln's life in the wilderness of Indiana and is an alternate take on the former U.S. President, the hardships that shaped him, the tragedy that marked him forever--abandonment by his proud and abusive father Tom (played by Clarke) in the harsh winter and the two women who guided him to greatness.
A.J. Edwards' wrote the screenplay and will direct the film.
Diane Kruger will play Sarah Bush Lincoln Abe's stepmother.
Terrence Malick is producing. Production kicks off this Fall.
