Kirk Takes On Jar City Remake

Frequent Game of Thrones ep helmer Brian Kirk is in talks to direct the American remake the hit 2006 Icelandic crime drama "Jar City" reports The Los Angeles Times.

The story follows a detective investigating a fresh murder he believes is linked to an unsolved rape from the decades ago.

Kirk was also linked to helm the upcoming comic book sequel "Thor: The Dark World", a job that ultimately went to fellow 'Thrones' helmer Alan Taylor.

Original Jar director Baltasar Kormákur is on board to produce the remake.
