FilmNation will finance the feature film version of the sci-fi action thriller short "The Prototype" says Deadline.
Not to be confused with the video game of the same name, the story follows an experimental drone soldier being hunted by the FBI's elite Critical Incident Response Group after it escapes from a top-secret military base and goes on the run.
Andrew Will ("Archangels") expands his script and will helm the film
The Bandito Brothers (Act of Valor), Will, Max Leitman, Shawn Wallace and Sean Cushing will produce.
