Based on Hiroshi Sakurazaka's 2004 book, the story follows a new recruit sent out to fight off an alien invasion and finding himself dying on the battlefield and being reborn each day. Five months into this cycle though, he notices something different than the previous versions - a female soldier who may be the key to his escape.
Tom Cruise stars in the film as does Rapper T.I. Emily Blunt and Charlotte Riley both play soldiers who fight with Cruise.
Paxton would playplay a "tough-as-nails platoon sergeant"
Dante Harper wrote the adapted script which Joby Harold has re-written.
Jason Hoffs Tom Lassally, Jeffrey Silver and Erwin Stoff will produce the film.
Once Cruise wraps work on Joseph Kosinski's sci-fi epic "Oblivion" Production will kick off this fall in London.
