31 Days Of Horror Day 13: Last House On The Left

Helmer Jason Christopher visits The Last House on the Left--The one built in 1972-- as this special month long event celebrating horror soldiers on!

This one is going to be short because I’m knee deep in movie stuff for our sales reps and to get it into YOUR hands! Stay tuned for the announcement coming soon! For now, let's talk about the original version of The Last House On The Left!

Two friends, Mari Collingwood and her friend Phyllis are on their way to a concert to celebrate Mari’s seventeenth birthday. On the loose are three crazed convicts. The two friends accidentally cross path with the convicts and all hell breaks lose. The two friends are beaten, drugged, tossed in a trunk of a car and driven to the woods to only endure far worse brutality.

I like this movie. Be WARNED! It's a movie that has a brutal rape scene in it that is a part of the story. The best thing about this flick though is the Road Leads To Nowhere song by David Hess (RIP).

This movie was made  before Friday The 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street. This is Wes Craven’s first movie. Sean Cunningham produced this film.

The
2009 remake of the movie is very good too. One of the few remakes I can actually tolerate. I never saw the original movie on Blu Ray so I don’t know how the transfer looks on that but the DVD quality that MGM released in 2002 isn’t all the best.

Sorry to be short today, back to work I go! Check out this movie if you haven’t…and you’ll witness the best revenge flick

18 days till Halloween.
