Adult Comedy Director Takes On "Little House" Film?

David Gordon Green ("Your Highness," "Pineapple Express") is in line to direct a film adaptation of the classic book and TV series "Little House On The Prairie" says Deadline.

Author Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote the semi-autobiographical Nine-Book Series between 1932 and 1943 about farm life in the late 19th Century American West. They were then used as the basis for the 1974-1983 TV series starring Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert.

The development deal for the pic is still being hammered out. Should things move forward, then Abi Morgan ("Shame," "The Iron Lady") will write the adapted script
