Cumberbatch & Kinnaman Circle Assange Biopic

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch is being considered to play the infamous Australian journalist and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in the upcoming Untitled Assange/Wikileaks pic about the website says Deadline.

Jeremy Renner was previously linked to the role

Additionally, The Killing and new Robocop star Joel Kinnaman is also linked to the project playing the role of Assange's former right hand man Daniel Domscheit-Berg. The studio is not ready to confirm any of this.

Bill Condon is in talks to direct.

The project is one of several Assange films in development for both big screen and small.
