Paul Hops In The Car For "Need For Speed" Film

Breaking Bad co-star Aaron Paul has signed on to the film adaptation of Electronic Arts best-selling video game franchise "Need for Speed" says EW.


George and John Gatins are writing the script from which Scott Waugh ("Act of Valor") would call action.

No word on what kind of role he will play.

As a rival to the "Fast and Furious" film series, 'Need' has sold over 100 million copies of the eighteen games in the series, making it the most successful racing video game series in the world.

At last report, Taylor Kitsch had reportedly been offered the lead role. Actors Brenton Thwaites and Luke Bracey, both former stars of Aussie soap "Home and Away", were also being tested for roles in film

John Gatins and EA will produce the film.

A February 7th 2014 release is already set.
