Cumberbatch Looks Up At GdT's "Crimson Peak"

Benedict Cumberbatch has joined the haunted house tale Crimson Peak says Variety.


Guillermo del Toro and Lucinda Coxon are rewriting the original script by del Toro and Matthew Robbins that is described as a classic ghost story with a modern twist. It will center on a woman who suspects her husband is hiding something

The film is set at the turn of the century and has been described by del Toro who will also direct--as "a ghost story and gothic romance" that begins as a love story before taking a much darker turn.
Emma Stone (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and del Toro's Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam will co-star.

Cumberbatch will be seen nezt as the bad guy in the J.J. Abrams’ sequel "Star Trek Into Darkness"
