The film will chart the times of Magnum photographer Dennis Stock (Pattinson) and his budding friendship with actor James Dean (DeHaan) as they take a road trip together on assignment for LIFE Magazine in 1955.
Anton Corbijn is calling action on the project using a screenplay by Luke Davies, who wrote 2006′s Candy.
Iain Canning and Emile Sherman are producing the film.
Production is expected to begin this February in Canada.
At first glance I would have pegged Pattinson as Dean on the hair alone. Still with DeHaan on board I just may join them on this trip --Sitting in the back seat of course...
