Zemeckis May Track "Chaos Walking"

"Flight" director Robert Zemeckis is in early talks to helm a film adaptation of the first book in author Patrick Ness' popular young adult novel trilogy "Chaos Walking" says Variety.

Charlie Kaufman is writing the adapted script for the film set on a dystopian world where an infection, called the Noise, spreads through this world, a corrupt autocrat threatens to take control of the human settlements and wage war with the indigenous alien race. A young male named Todd Hewitt, who holds the key to stopping planet-wide destruction and saving mankind

Doug Davison is producing the film.
