Jeremy Irvine Gets Political In "Stonewall"

"War Horse" actor Jeremy Irvine will star in the true life drama "Stonewall" says The Guardian..

The story chronicles the events around the June 28th 1969 police raid on The Stonewall Inn in New York’s Greenwich Village section. The resulting riots resulted in a massive push for the gay rights movement around the world.

Irvine will play a young man whose political awakening forms our conduit into these groundbreaking events.

Roland Emmerich will call action here using a script written by Jon Robin Baitz.

The film will be produced by Emmerich Michael Fossat and Marc Frydman.

Production begins later this year. Emmerich will film Stonewall before starting work on the long gestating Independence Day sequels.
