Ewan McGregor and Carey Mulligan are in talks to star "Electric Slide" says Variety.
The film is based Gear magazine true story article called The Yankee Bandit by Timothy Ford.
Eddie Dodson (McGregor), was a Los Angeles-based furniture salesman who owned a high-end boutique furniture store on Melrose-Avenue. in the 1980s.
He lived the Hollywood lifestyle, partying and hanging out with celebrity friends, where he met and he fell in love with his girlfriend (Mulligan) - Wanting to impress her he robbed a bank.
Dodson went on to rob more than 72 banks in the L.A. area before the Feds finally nabbed him.
Tristan Patterson inked the script and will make his directorial debut on the film.
McGregor seems like a great fit...As for Mulligan, with Michael Mann's "Public Enemies" on the horizon her star is on the rise.
