Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper are reportedly teaming up for a new film from Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance.called "The Place Beyond the Pines says Variety.
The drama centers on a motorcycle racer (Gosling) who moonlights as a bank robber to try and support his newborn son. Cooper has been offered the key role of a rookie cop who crosses paths with the rider, which sparks a feud.
Cianfrance helms from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ben Coccio.
Sidney Kimmel, Lynette Howell, Alex Orlovsky, and Jamie Patricof will produce. the pic
Gosling and Cooper--with Derek calling action-I'm sold.
Shooting kicks off sometime this summer.
