The true sports tale follows a young basketball player (David Henrie of "Wizards of Waverly Place") who suffered a catastrophic stroke as a freshman at Gettysburg College but, through determination and an indomitable spirit, returned to the court for one remarkable moment in the last game of his senior year.
Kleintank will portray Weissman's best friend and teammate.
Necessary Roughness co-star Hannah Marks Beau Bridges and Jean Louisa Kelly also star.
Michael Levin will direct the pic.
Production starts in Pennsylvania next month.
