Warner Bros is planning a biopic of legendary British Naval commander Lord Horatio Nelson says Variety.
Set in the late 18th century, the story will focus on Nelson's service in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic Wars. His use of strategy and unconventional tactics led to a number of decisive naval victories, coming to a close with the famous victory at the Battle of Trafalgar during which Nelson was mortally wounded.
Peter Woodward writes the script using source material from author John Sugden's biographies "A Dream of Glory" and "The Sword of Albion".
Gianni Nunnari is producing the film.
