Fassbender May See "The Light Between Oceans"

Michael Fassbender is in talks to star in the drama "The Light Between Oceans" reports THR.


An adaptation of author M.L. Stedman's debut novel, the story follows a lighthouse keeper (Fassbender) and his wife living on a remote Australian island in the years following the end of World War I. The pair are soon faced with a moral dilemma when a boat washes up on their with a dead man and a two-year-old. They raise the child as their own with devastating consequences.

Derek Cianfrance ("Blue Valentine," "The Place Beyond the Pines") is set to direct

David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford will produce the film.

Production is eyed for Australia
