The decision is due to creative differences, the departure is amicable, and it will not impact the release date of July 17th 2015. A new director will be announced shortly.
Filming is expected to remain on course for this summer with cast members Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michael Pena, Patrick Wilson and Corey Stoll currently in place - we'll see if that holds.
Wright has been attached to the film since its inception almost a decade ago. The project is currently in late pre-production making this news very unexpected.
