Heard And Harris Read From "The Adderall Diaries"

Amber Heard and Ed Harris have joined the film adaptation of author Stephen Elliott's gritty memoir "The Adderall Diaries" says Variety.


The story follows Elliott (James Franco) who becomes consumed by the 2007 murder trial of computer  programmer Hans Reiser. Sean Sturgeon, Hans’s former best friend and an acquaintance of Elliott in San Francisco’s BDSM scene, confesses to eight unrelated murders during the case. Elliott's troubled childhood and tormented young adulthood, his substance abuse problems and addiction to masochistic sex are explored as well.

 Pamela Romanowsky directs the film using her adapted script.

Christian Slater, Cynthia Nixon and Jim Parrack also star.

Franco and Vince Jolivette, James Reach and Joseph McKelheer produce the film.

Robert Redford serves as executive producer here.

 Principal photography has begun in Brooklyn, New York.
