School Of Rock director Richard Linklater is set to team up again with Jack Black for the dark comedy "Bernie" says The Hollywood Reporter. Set in a small Texas town, the story follows a mortician named Bernie (Black) who begins an unlikely friendship with a wealthy but very particular widow (Shirley MacLaine). When he kills her, he goes to great lengths to maintain the illusion that she is still alive.
Celine Rattray, Martin Shafer, Liz Glotzer and Ginger Sledge will produce the pic.Shooting kicks off in early October on this riff on Weekend at Bernie's
