Sam Raimi was loosely attached to produce the series re-starter when the property changed studios earlier this year. And then David Slade was linked to the project--At last notice Raimi was still attached as producer.
Tarantino was even said to be re-writing Siavash Farahani's draft of said script....
Shortly after the story hit Tarantino sent out a representative who told MTV: "There is no truth to this story"
Alec Baldwin played the pulp hero in the previous film adaptation in 1994.
