The story sees Statham play an ex-Special Forces soldier looking for a way out of London's criminal underworld. A twist of circumstance allows him to assume another identity and act out his vengeance through redemptive justice.
Industry writer Steven Knight will make his directorial debut on the pic.
Paul Webster and Tracey Seaward will produce.
The film will begin production in early 2012
