Paltrow & McGregor Set For "Mortdecai"

Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor are in talks to join the crime drama "Mortdecai" says Variety.



Based on the late author Kyril Bonfiglioli's 1970's book series "The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery" Johnny Depp stars a debonair art dealer and part-time rogue. The character traverses the globe in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold. There are angry Russians, British spies, an international terrorist and his wife thrown in the mix as well.

No word yet on their roles yet

Eric Aronson is writing the adapted screenplay for director David Koepp. He directed Johnny in Secret Window.

Depp, Christi Dembrowski and Andrew Lazar will produce the pic

Production hopes to begin later this year.
