With just two weeks worth of filming completed in London so far, the cast "Guardians Of The Galaxy", including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Karen Gillan as Nebula, two-time Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou as Korath, Benicio del Toro as The Collector, John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey, and director James Gunn showed up.
Pratt says his character is a jerk who goes around space thinking he's a charming rogue. Ultimately, he finds a higher calling by joining this team.
Bautista says he's well aware he's more inexperienced than the rest of the cast, but is learning by working with Gunn and playing off the other actors.
Gillan showed up with a completely shaved head which is required for the role. del Toro says he hasn't started filming his scenes yet and the other villains couldn't really talk about their roles. Hounsou however confirmed his character has a connection to Thanos.
Despite only a few days of footage in the can, a clip was screened which has a much more casual and comedic tone.
Reilly's character reportedly appears in the clip that featured the Blue Swede song "Hooked On A Feeling".
The film arrives August 1, 2014.
