Universal Pictures had a 2 film panel at Comic-Con to promote the releases of "Kick-Ass 2" and Riddick.
Kick-Ass 2 cast members Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Lindy Booth, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo and director Jeff Wadlow were all there to chat about how dark and intense the sequel is, though it doesn't include the darkest scenes depicted the comic (the dog killing and rape scenes).
Hit Girl herself Chloe Grace Moretz popped in via satellite and spoke about her character arc.
Any talk of a third film was nixed for now since the cast all said that they are so exhausted from the shoot they can't consider it at this point.
The best part of the presentation though was the NSFW RED BAND extended peek.

Taylor-Johnson also briefly spoke about his role of Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver in "The Avengers 2:
"I don’t think I can talk about that, but it really is an exciting prospect. [QuickSilver] has a really interesting character and background. In fact, my wife [director Sam Taylor-Johnson] just went out and bought… it’s like a really, really old vintage [comic] with the first time Quicksilver’s ever been on the cover".
Kick-Ass 2 will arrive in theaters on August 16th.
The second half of the panel focused on "Riddick"
Director David Twohy, star Vin Diesel and actress Katee Sackhoff were there to talk up the sequel that was essentially independently produced and financed.
This film still serves the mythology of the previous two films, but is much more in line with "Pitch Black" and the lower budget allowed them to keep the R rating.
The topic of Diesel's sit down with Marvel came up to which he responded: "There is some very big news coming at the end of this month."
Several clips were unspooled for the crowd.
The pic has a release date of September 6, 2013.
