The story begins as Katniss Everdeen (Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow (Donald Sutherland) prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.
Lawrence said that in the new film, Katniss is living the good life now as a victor of the games, in that she wants for nothing. But she's dissatisfied with the situation, traumatized by what she went through, and also feels that her friendship with Peeta created a bond that no one else can understand -- which only serves to complicate the love triangle that's forming between her, Hemsworth's Gale, and Hutcherson's Peeta characters.

Catching Fire has a set release date of Nov. 22, 2013.
