In the film Abrams plays a scruffy 16-year-old who pays little attention to his best friend Conrad’s (Tye Sheridan) first love (Kaitlyn Dever). When a prank goes awry and causes the death of her athletic older brother (Mirchoff), the boy must balance his secret guilt with his feelings for the girl.
Kyle Wilamowski directs from his own screenplay.
Matt Perniciaro, Kevin Mann, Rachel Miller, Steve Olivera and Michael Sherman are producing.
Production is currently underway in North Carolina.
