Playwright Michael Mitnick wrote the Black List script about the public battle between pioneers Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse to develop electricity and bring it to the world. Both men went to extraordinary lengths to ensure their system was the one that was adopted.
Timur Bekmambetov, Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch are producing the film.
Bekmambetov was due to direct this but that is no longer the case. A number of replacements are circling the gif, including Ben Stiller.
