Marvel Boss Talks Thanos

Ever since he showed up during the end credits of last year's "The Avengers," we've been told that the villain Thanos will have a major impact in future Marvel movies.

Studio suit Kevin Feige seems to suggest that he won't be a primary threat until "The Avengers 3" in 2018.

In a chat with The Huffington Post, Feige says he's enjoying the slow tease as "it's fun to have the luxury to build somebody up."

He was then asked if Thanos is essentially like the end boss in a video game - we fight minions and 'level bosses' first before taking on the big boss:

"We never thought of it exactly like that, but I'd say that's a fair analogy. You look at some classic story lines in the comics and they tease out characters like that -- big bads like that -- for sometimes years. I think Walter Simonson was teasing Surtur for years before he popped up."

The end credits of  next Friday's "Thor: The Dark World" features a scene that suggests James Gunn's film adaptation of "Guardians Of The Galaxy" will have a more substantial Thanos tease, while writer/director Joss Whedon's superhero team up sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." will no doubt have an even larger one.
