The film follows a recently separated mother (Jennifer Lopez) who begins having an affair with a male teenager (Step Up Revolution star and model Ryan Guzman) who recently moved into the neighborhood. Soon her own son becomes friends with the teen and when the mother tries to abruptly end the relationship - things take a creepy turn.
Harper will play the principal at Guzman's character's school.
Kristin Chenoweth plays the best friend of Jenny's character. John Corbett will play Jenny's ex-husband
Rob Cohen is in talks to direct the film using a script by Barbara Curry.
Jason Blum ("Paranormal Activity," "The Purge") is producing the movie.
Production has started ahead of Jenny's judging commitments on "American Idol" in January.
