As depicted in the trailers we know that some of the action in Friday's "Thor: The Dark World" takes place in the U.K. where strange phenomenon occur as a key element to the film's plot.
Now it has been confirmed by EW that the November 19th episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will tie into the film, picking up after the events of "Dark World".
Jonathan Frakes ("Star Trek: First Contact," "Burn Notice") calls action on the episode "The Well" in which Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team set out to pick up the pieces. It seems that something left in the rubble threatens to destroy a member of the team.
There's rumor that the episode will also boast a cameo from one of the film's actors, similar to the way Samuel L. Jackson already popped up in an earlier episode - though it could well be something more offbeat than an appearance by Thor (Chris Hemsworth).
The synergy comes as the series faces criticism. Ratings for the show have plummeted from a 4.7 rating for the premiere to a 2.6 rating in its fifth week.
It's also suffering critical backlash over the lack of creative direction, under developed characters, and more recently comparisons to the recent "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" peek which some claim looks like the series " S.H.I.E.L.D." should have been.
