Variety has published details on the "confidential" settlement in the Watchmen legal scuffle.
Sources say that Fox will receive anywhere between $5 million and $10 million upfront from Warner Bros. to reimburse the $1.4 million the studio invested in development fees along with millions of dollars in legal expenses from the case.
Fox will also get a share of the gross in the flick that scales between 5% and 8.5%-- based upon on film’s worldwide revenues, and will also be a gross participant in any sequels and or spin-offs--like Tales of the Black Freighter.
THE FILM (finally) HITS THEATERS ON MARCH 6TH!!
