Strange But True

You won't believe these flick tid-bits...(Well OK maybe you will...)

**Sarah Jessica Parker told Beat World her notion on Sex and the City 2 "...is to have someone like Britney Spears move to New York as my cousin or niece and Carrie would show her the ropes"

**Sam Rockwell is indeed playing the character of Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2 says MTV...

**Speaking of IM2--Samuel L. Jackson won't be back as Nick Fury--in order to pay Mickey Rourke's salary so that he can play the villain... A mere $250,000. according to Variety.

Boy they really low balled Mickey...Did studio suits see The Wrestler?

**Despite reports of its demise, producer Michael E. Uslan says Billy Batson and the Legend of Shazam is still very much alive and kicking ...

"I will only say one thing — and all I will do is quote Samuel Clemens to you. This is direct from Captain Marvel himself: 'The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated'"--via MTV...

He then talks about The Shadow reboot

"I think the one thing going in is we all see The Shadow as more of a force of nature than a specific person in a secret identity. The Shadow may actually be many people"

**Alexandre Aja says he will begin shooting the remake of Joe Dante's "Piranha"--originally scheduled for a July 24, 2009 debut-- Piranha 3-D", this year after a slight delay from last Fall.

He also indicates the fish themselves will look different visually - "Like Gremlins not all of the piranha will be the same"...via STYD.

He's also wants to make a. big screen version of Didier Van Cauwelaert's satirical novel "The Gospel According to Jimmy"

"You have to imagine, a few years from now, the Republicans want to get back in the White House, and the only thing that they find is like an old cloning project … to clone Jesus from a blood cell on the Shroud of Turin. And one subject had survived, and he’s fixing pools in L.A., named Jimmy. And they’re going to find him and ask him to come back and help them to get back to power.

Aja thinks that Seth Rogen would be perfect casting as Jesus.

The project is still in its early stages ...
