Slumdog Millionaire writer Simon Beaufoy has been tagged for a rewrite of the romantic comedy Leap Year.reports Reuters.
Amy Adams stars as an uptight woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend on leap day, February 29th, following an Irish tradition in which women propose to men on that day and the man must say yes. When weather derails her trip, she enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper to make an unexpected cross-country trek to pull off the perfect proposal in time.
Slumdig has put Beaufoy back in Oscar's glare following his win for The Full Monty....
Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan who wrote the earlier draft are solid writers makes ya wonder why they were replaced. Anand Tucker will call action.
