I almost can't believe it...just ahead of any decision in the legal spat over Watchmen-it turns out the both sides could actually be taking the advice from Judge Gary A. Feess and striking a deal, in contrast to the snippy comments in the press they've been tossing at one another for months.
Nikki Finke's Deadline Hollywood Daily reports that Fox and Warner Bros. have begun "back channel talks," This is--"the first time both sides are trying to hash out a settlement."
The official courtroom proceedings are set to resume tomorrow where the judge will decide whether to approve WB's request to move up the next hearing date.
Of course until we know something for sure--The film could still be delayed or locked up in a vault somewhere but at least both sides are talking to each other.
Fingers Crossed....
