Jack Nicholson and director James L. Brooks (both seen wearing sunglasses and cap respectively) are re-teaming for an untitled romantic comedy according to Variety.
The story involves a love triangle, with Paul Rudd, playing a white-collar executive vying for Reese Witherspoon's attention, and Owen Wilson portraying a professional baseball pitcher who is also a love interest.
Nicholson will play the blue blood father of Rudd's character.
Bill Murray had been in talks for the film but dropped out.
Brooks wrote the screenplay as well.
The legendary actor and the writer-director have worked together three times before. Nicholson had a cameo in Broadcast News. The other two were times were on Terms Of Endearment and the in my opinion way overrated As Good As It Gets for which Jack won Oscars...
Frankly--I am more intrigued to see what Brooks does with the trio of younger actors here--than what Jack will do.
