Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Elijah Wood and Cam Gigandet (him again) are set to star in "The Experiment," the remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel's German thriller "Das Experiment."" says Variety.The story centers on a group of ordinary men recruited to take on the roles of guards and prisoners as part of a research study and examined how the effects of assigned roles, power and control affected the participants.
Brody plays the de facto leader of the prisoners while Whitaker will play a guard who's corrupted by the power he's given.
"Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring will direct from his own screenplay adaptation.
Interesting that Scheuring is doing another prison project--so soon after the end of the PB TV series.
Shooting begins in Iowa next month.
