Universal Pictures is developing the aspirational comedy "Pharm Girl" for Reese Witherspoon to both produce and star in says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows a woman (Witherspoon) who gets a job at a pharmaceutical powerhouse but begins to see the underbelly of the industry as she rises through the company's ranks.
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, whose credits include "Bad Santa" and the "Bad News Bears" remake, are writing the script and are in talks to direct the project as well.
I expect comedy with biting social commentary/satire--given the writers credits
