The photos include peeks of Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen.
The story also confirms rumors that the film is a sequel to the Lewis Carroll tale Alice's Adventures in Wonderland rather than another flick adaptation.
Scripted by Linda Woolverton-the story has a 17 year old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) attending a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before but doesn't remember.
Typical Burton quirkiness will ensue...
It opens March 5, 2010.
