David Fincher is in advanced talks to direct the Facebook movie "The Social Network,"according to Variety.The Aaron Sorkin-scripted film will focus on the evolution of Facebook from its 2004 creation by Harvard sophomore Mark Zuckerberg and his roommates Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes to a juggernaut with more than 200 million members.
As the helmer of Seven, Fight Club and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" Fincher seems like an odd fit for this rags to riches tale.
Shooting aims to kick off later this year.
