That's News To Me...

Here are 2 high profile casting snafus that will probably happen anyway...

Last week The Hobbit director Guillermo del Toro told BBC Radio 5 that Andy Serkis, Ian McKellen and Hugo Weaving would be reprising their roles in the upcoming The Lord of the Rings trilogy prequel "'The Hobbit,".

Weaving said this week while chatting with Moviehole that he heard the reports, but "I haven't actually talked to anyone about it. Doesn't mean I won't be doing it, just not onboard yet." Weaving added he'd certainly like to return, it's now a matter dealmaking and paper work it would seem".

Meanwhile the Risky Biz Blog reported earlier that 41-year-old Austrian bodybuilder turned actor Roland Kickinger was in talks to play the lead in the Conan The Barbarian redo .

While Kickinger played the body of the T-800 in Terminator Salvation, with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's face digitally added to recreate the Terminator role he helped bring to life in the previous films and also played a younger version of the California governor in the 2005 biopic See Arnold Run....Conan is another matter.

Latino Review shoots that one down the Conan talk with a studio source saying "Hell no! Not even a consideration. Thank goodness. Lionsgate hasn't hired a casting director yet."

Given all of Kickinger's Arnie related work though--he will most likely (and should) be a Conan contender anyway
