Effects wizard Charles Gibson and son of actor Henry Gibson-will make his directorial debut on the family comedy "The Goblin" says Variety.
The story revolves around a suburban family that moves into its new home only to find a curmudgeonly goblin who doesn't want them there.
Geoff Rodkey wrote the script.
Co-producer Matt Williams: "It's about creating a goblin that will appeal to audiences of all ages,"
Gibson has worked as a visual effects artist and second unit director on this Summer's "T-4: won Oscars for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, it's follow-up Dead Man's Chest and "Babe".
Sounds a bit like Harry and the Hendersons from 1987--in reverse...
