Richard Loncraine has replaced Peter Morgan as director of " The Special Relationship" says the Hollywood Reporter.
Morgan penned the script about the unique and sometimes turbulent political relationship between newly installed British Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President Bill.Clinton in the late 1990s.
Dennis Quaid is set to play Clinton and Michael Sheen will play Blair. Julianne Moore and Helen McCrory will play their spouses.
Morgan will remain "integrally involved in every aspect of the production" in his role as a writer/executive producer said a spokesperson.
Reasons for Morgan not directing were not disclosed, though he's been tagged to co-pen the next James Bond movie.
Shooting on Special is slated to begin July 20th in London.
